Released in 1985, "The Journey of Natty Gann" is a Depression-era adventure directed by Jeremy Kagan and starring Meredith Salenger, John Cusack and Ray Wise. Salenger plays a determined teenage girl who leaves Chicago and travels across the country in search of her father, riding freight trains and forming a protective friendship with a wolf along the way.
Praised for its atmospheric portrayal of 1930s America and Salenger’s confident leading performance, the film has grown into a beloved Disney cult favourite. Salenger won a Young Artist Award, while Albert Wolsky received an Academy Award nomination for the film’s costume design, reinforcing its reputation as one of Disney’s most accomplished live-action dramas of the decade.
This original US one-sheet was issued for the film’s original 1985 theatrical release by Buena Vista Distribution.
