German painter Josef Albers was one of 29 artists commissioned to produce posters for the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. In the run-up to the 1972 Games, the Organising Committee decided to commission a series of Artist Posters to "represent the intertwining of sports and art worldwide". The Games were the second to be held in Germany after the 1936 games in Berlin which were held under the Nazi regime. The tragedy of the Munich Massacre overshadowed the sporting events of the Olympics.
This beautiful poster has maintained its colour wonderfully and looks perfect framed on any wall. The piece is in mint condition on thick art stock paper.

Unframed posters ship FREE worldwide and are securely packed in a reinforced cardboard tube. We aim to dispatch within 2 working days, although this may be slightly longer during busy periods.
